The Ajijic Malecón will be set up with professional kitchen gear this weekend as the venue for Sabor a Jalisco, a two-day cooking competition among students enrolled in the state’s IDEFT vocational training system.
The contest on October 8 and 9 will involve eight teams of chefs showcasing Jalisco-style gastronomy. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Visitors will be invited to taste the finished dishes. There will also be live entertainment to add festivity to the program.
