Nine Jaltepec Centro Educativo students graduated with Preparatoria certification on Sunday, August 9.

Chapala Cruz Roja volunteer Tinker Lafata distributes magnets with the Red Cross emergency phone number to Children’s Art Camp participants and their instructor Rodrigo Zulouga during the program sponsored by the Lake Chapala Society and the Ajijic Society of the Arts. The magnets are part of information kits to be made available at a September workshop (see upcoming ad in this newspaper).

The Casi Nuevo consignment and thrift shop in Riberas del Pilar has announced the appointment of a new manager, beginning Monday, August 17.

At last month’s Culinary Arts Society of Ajijic (CASA) meeting, members competed in two categories: poultry main dish or cookies and bars. 

Staffers at the Chapala Country Club and the Vista del Lago homeowners association are now well prepared to come to the rescue in medical emergencies after completing a course in advanced first-aid techniques conducted by Cruz Roja Chapala.
