Busy administrator

Newly elected Ajijic delegado (town administrator) Hector España has jumped right into the middle of things. Do take note of his “clean-up” program utilizing the energy of local school kids who meet each Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the Delegacion office just off the principal plaza.

España and the gang criss-cross the village with plastic garbage bags in hand, cleaning up the trash. When the chore is finished, the kids are all hungry. You can help out by providing money or food toward a simple lunch for the kids or by donating plastic garbage bags for the project.

You’ll also notice that 35 new ramps have been installed to make sidewalk access easier and 350 pot holes have been filled with sand. The municipal government is providing the labor for all of this, but none of the materials involved. If you’d like to help, contact España directly at Manix Restaurant at 766-0061.

An announcement was made at the gathering regarding the creation of Lakeside Conservatives, a new political group strongly believing in core conservative values and principles.  The new group will be co-chaired by Margaret Ancira and Lester Segel.
