A new mural has been officially unveiled on the frontage of “Luz” (better known as the “Dollar Store”) on the Ajijic Plaza. Featuring a charming little girl with flowing hair leaping through a cloud of flowers, the mural celebrates the Lake Chapala Garden Club’s 40th birthday.
John and Rosemary Keeling, who lead Lake Chapala Birders, an informal group of lakeside bird observers, encourage one and all to go birding on Saturday, May 5 to see how many species they can find in one day, and record the list on eBird.

Christ Church Lakeside
Christ Church Lakeside, formally Christ Church Episcopal, a Anglican/Episcopal mission of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the Fourth Sunday of Easter, April 22, with the Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. in the La Huerta Eventos Center (where the Tuesday Organic Market is held), Carretera West 522, West Ajijic. Rev. Robbin Del Nagro will preside and Bishop Sandy Olson will give a message, “What Would Jesus Have Us Do?”
