City authorities say the difference is intentional so that the road is free of runoff during the rainy season. But business owners say vehicles will be damaged as customers park in their establishments and fear sidewalks and street corners will be inundated.
Downtown Zapopan
The Jalisco state government will spend some 18 million pesos to revamp 53 street corners in the historic downtown area of Zapopan in the next four months. The work will include ramps and protective posts as well as signage, some of which will tell motorists to reduce their speed.
