Persons enrolled in the national Instituto Mexicano de Seguro Social (IMSS) health insurance program are now able to go online to make appointments with their family doctors.
The webpage set up to enable this is: http://citamedicadigital.imss.gob.mx. To reserve an appointment at their corresponding clinic (Unidad Medicina Familiar), subscribers must provide their CURP and IMSS numbers, and an e-mail address. Appointments may also be cancelled online.
IMSS appointments can also be reserved by telephone and a smartphone app.
