The Empire’s propaganda machine works overtime to try and add some vanilla to its somewhat sinister reputation. Shown is a Stormtrooper glad-handing a tiny citizen, obeying to the letter his superiors’ directives during a parade in the Empire’s provincial capital of Guadalajara at the end of May.
Sith lord Darth Maul, bane of righteous Jedi everywhere, appeared somewhat dazed by the goings on, perhaps withered from the intense heat radiated from the sky above Guadalajara and the asphalt below his feet. He was later seen offering to turn away from the dark side of The Force in exchange for a sip from a child’s 7-11 cherry slushy.
The imperial guard, whose job it is to guard the emperor (empire, imperial, emperor … savvy?), appear to have misplaced their charge during a parade which drew more than 10,000 participants from various corners of the galaxy. A bystander claims to have seen the emperor, who friends call Sheev Palpatine, ducking into a popular torta ahogada outlet. Whether the guards managed to locate the emperor or were summarily liquidated as punishment is still unknown.
