Drivers could be in for a torrid time in the Guadalajara metro area over the next few months with road closures scheduled in several zones.
Continuing work on Tren Ligero (subway) Line Three will force diversions for the next six months on the stretch of Avenida Revolucion running alongside the Universidad de Guadalajara’s Science and Engineering (CUCEI) campus, between Calzada de Ejercito and Mota Padilla.
As of July 18, Line Three construction will also complicate life for drivers around Plaza Patria, where the intersection of Avenida Patria and Avenida Avila Camacho will be closed for the next three months.
Also from next week, work will start on the Viaducto Belenes, an over/underpass at the intersection of the Periferico and Parres Arias, just north of the Auditorio Telmex and catty-corner to the UdG’s Economic Sciences/Administration (CUCEA) campus. Motorists should expect delays over the next few months, according to Movilidad Jalisco officials.
