A Red Cross race for all the family & canines too

A pet-friendly race to support the Mexican Red Cross will be held simultaneously in 32 cities—including Guadalajara—on Sunday, September 10.

The fourth edition of Todo México Salvando Vidas has three categories: 10 and 5 kilometers, and a 3-kilometer caminata (walk). The event seeks to “promote healthy lifestyles, health care and disease prevention.”

To sign up for the race, go to emociondeportiva.com or cruzrojamexicana.org. The donation for the two running races is 350 pesos, and 300 pesos for the walk, during which you may be accompanied by your furry companions.  All competitors will receive a free t-shirt. The Guadalajara event starts at 7 a.m. at the Gran Plaza shopping mall, where it also finishes. The route takes in Avenida Vallarta and the Minerva Glorieta.
