There are several Otis collection centers distributed throughout Guadalajara, one of the main ones located in the pedestrian walkway (La Rambla Cataluña) alongside the Universidad de Guadalajara rectory, on Avenida Juárez. Open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Jalisco Red Cross has five collection points: next to Parque Morelos in downtown Guadalajara; in the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce at Avenida Vallarta 4095 on the corner of Niño Obrero, near the Gran Plaza shopping center; at Televisa Guadalajara on Avenida Alemana 1469; in Plaza Milenio at López Mateos Sur 3333, a few blocks from Plaza del Sol; and at the television station Quiero Tv Canal 10, located at Avenida Naciones Unidas 5573 in Zapopan.  A collection center has also opened at Expo Guadalajara at Avenida Mariano Otero and Avenida de las Rosas.

In the Lake Chapala area, donations should be taken to the office of the Chapala Desarrollo Integral de las Familias (DIF) at Calle Degollado 327 in Chapala. No clothes are requested.

Personal hygiene items required include toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, feminine towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, wet wipes, shampoo, razors, combs and diapers for babies and adults.

Food suggestions include canned tuna or sardines, packaged rice or lentils, pasta, chicken broth, canned vegetables, salt, coffee, sugar, cookies, flour, chocolate powder, jam, mayonnaise, instant soups and cans of chili peppers.

Household items should include brooms, brushes, flannels, buckets, mops, bleach, plastic gloves, dustpans and fibers.
