Soloists from the Prime Donne Opera Company in Guadalajara will perform an opera gala Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9, 7 p.m. at Foro Larva, at Ocampo 120 corner of Juarez in downtown Guadalajara.
Participating are soprano Estefanía Avilés, baritone Carlos López, soprano Mariana Estrada, tenor Jorge Jiménez and violinist Esmeralda Mirónova. They will perform pieces from Verdi’s Rigoletto and the Boheme quartet, duos and arias from the Cavalleria Rusticana by Mozart, and some zarzuelas and operetas.

Orquesta Metropolitana
The Orquesta Metropolitana de Guadalajara will perform four free concerts in Guadalajara under the baton of director Rodrigo Sierra Moncayo. The orchestra will play pieces by Corelli, Vivaldi, Piazzolla and Haydn on Friday, December 22 at Foro Larva and Saturday, December 23 at the majestic Santuario de la Virgen de Guadalupe temple, at Av. Alcalde 545 in Guadalajara’s historic center.
Friday, December 29, the orchestra will perform Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 “Titan” at Foro Larva and Saturday, December 3 at the Centro Cultural Constitucion in Zapopan.
All the concerts begin at 8 p.m.
