Relatives of missing people who gathered at the Niños Héroes Glorieta on February 14 said there was nothing for them to celebrate on Dia del Amor y La Amistad (Love & Friendship Day).
More than 400 people then marched along major Guadalajara avenues to the Guadalajara city center, where a petition was read out in front of the government palace calling for greater respect for the relatives of the missing and their search work. They also demanded that more personnel be hired to assist investigators, noting that in January one person disappeared every two and a half hours.
