Jaltepec Centro Educativo, a university specializing in the hospitality business, invites everyone in the Lakeside community to an open house on Wednesday, January 23.
The event, billed as a Sponsors’ Appreciation Luncheon, is designed to bring together those in the community who support the education of these special young women, as well as those who may not be familiar with the school.
The afternoon will begin at 11 a.m. with a presentation of a brief history of the institute, its academics and the selection process for students seeking scholarships. There will then be a tour of the facility while the students are doing their “practical time” to enable visitors to see the school in action.The luncheon, prepared and served by the students at 1 p.m. will give those in attendance a great appreciation for the quality of education the students receive.
Investing in the education of these young women provides nearly instant gratification. Those graduating in the program most often have good jobs and positions waiting for them. They, in turn, are able to raise their family’s standard of living and help younger siblings with their educations.
