Residents of the westside Ajijic subdivisions Villa Nova and Rancho del Oro who are less than satisfied with the speed of Telemex Infinitum internet service may be interested in a promising proposal launched by one of their neighbors.
Long-time weekend resident Tom Kessler, a high-flier in the tech sector, is seeking people willing to cooperate in one-time contribution towards a Telmex capital investment to fast track a Fiber/VDSL upgrade that will significantly boost connection speeds.
“If we could find 100 residents interested in paying 3,000 pesos one-time each, with no change in Telmex monthly rate, we could get Rancho del Oro and Villa Nova upgraded,” Kessler writes in a posting on popular web board.
To measure interest, he is running an opinion survey through a simple form appearing on a secure website, linked at https://vdslajj.wufoo.com/forms/zfeo6660m135pf/.
