The second stage of the Ajijic highway improvement project finally got underway after dark on Tuesday, January 9.
The work bordering the north side of the roadway will entail replacement of underground water and sewage mains prior to resurfacing to include sidewalk and a cycling path.
Originally projected for completion by November 20 of last year, city officials now calculate it will take another three months to finish the job.
