Assassins target Chapala man

A man was shot to death in the final minutes of Monday, August 10 when heavily armed hitmen forced their way into his home in the Barrio de Tepehua neighborhood.

First responders called to the scene at the intersection of Pino Suárez and Tizoc detected no vital signs, declaring the man, aged in his thirties, dead at the scene.   By then his killers had fled into the night, with no eyewitnesses able to identify them or their getaway vehicle.

Personnel from the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences (IJCF) collected 14 casings of .223 caliber bullets from an AR-15 assault rifle at the crime scene before taking the victim’s body to the state morgue for an autopsy.v
