Covid outbreak strikes Chapala government

While Jalisco health authorities have reported a modest downtrend in the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus over the past week, Chapala has seen a significant uptick of the disease since the first of this month.

pg11cThe Chapala government has restricted activity of two of its agencies following the announcement of an outbreak of Covid-19 among its personnel. On Tuesday, November 10, City Hall reported that 14 probable Covid-19 cases have been detected between employees of the urban planning department and the municipal health clinic. According to press chief Felipe Aguilar, none of the patients has required hospitalization, with all currently isolated at home to recover.
