Poco a Poco San Pedro Itzicán thanks Ajijic’s Simply Joyful restaurant for the May 24 sellout spaghetti dinner benefit.
Proprietor Diane Smith and husband Craig cordially hosted the event for a full house of 50 diners who enjoyed the tasty meal and evening’s great vibes. Kudos were also extended to Chef Mane, salad bar manager Miguel, bartender Juan Pablo along with kitchen and wait staffers Vero, Abby, Lupita, Erika, Carlos, Oscar and Jesus for providing attentive and efficient service to guests.
Poco a Poco volunteers Carrie and Mike Hemphill, Doris Wakeman, Francisco Nava, Margaret Quinn and Kari Higgins managed the event’s seamless organization that rendered 30,000 pesos in proceeds for the group’s social service programs and community center construction project.
The shower of thanks includes everyone who attended the fund-raiser, those who purchased tickets for the 50/50 won by Mike Jones, and Simply Joyful customers who left donations while dining out at the hot spot located at Carretera Poniente 26 just east of the intersection with Calle Aquiles Serdán. Regular service hours are noon to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Sunday brunch.
