The last week of December was filled with bittersweet moments for Héctor España as he hosted the traditional Christmas dinner buffet to a sell-out crowd of 342 guests, followed by the well-attended New Year’s Eve dinner dance.
These were the last special events held at the long-time home of Manix Restaurant at Ocampo 57 in central Ajijic.
At the same time he was experiencing nostalgia for more than three decades of his family’s business history, España harbored upbeat emotions about a new era for Manix that he says is just around the corner.
The restaurant will reopen at a new venue, on a date soon to be announced.
