Chapala police officers Rigoberto Hernández and Juan Cruz were put in charge of handing out dozens of juicy apples to local kids who were out and about at the town’s plaza and waterfront Malecón on Saturday, January 6.
The Operation Apple public relations campaign, repeated for the ninth year running, was supported in 2023 and again this year by ANAVETS Mexico Unit 19 with the donation of a generous supply of fruit that put smiling faces on the young recipients and their adult companions.
