Every year the Lake Chapala Shrine Club facilitates the diagnosis of dozens of lakeside area children afflicted with physical disabilities.
Services that include coverage of transportation costs for patients and their families scheduled for pediatric treatments at the Shriners Hospital in Mexico City, scheduling of therapy sessions provided locally and in Guadalajara, and fitting of orthopedic apparatus, are largely funded by the annual Ribfest that will be held in Chapala on Wednesday, March 6.
