The Mexican Atheists and Freethinkers (Ateos y Librepensadores Mexicanos) are presenting the Second Mexican Colloquium on Atheism (Segundo Coloquio Mexicano de Ateismo) on November 2 and 3 in Mexico City.
Outstanding speakers from both Mexico and the United States will address the Colloquium.
Among them are Dr. Jerry Coyne, professor of Evolutionary Biology at the University of Chicago and author of Why Evolution is True; Annie Laurie Gaylor, co-president of the Freedom from Religion Foundation, the largest organization of freethinkers in the United States, with some 16,000 members; Dr. Dale McGowan, who devotes his energies to helping parents achieve the title of the book, “Parenting Beyond Belief,” that he edited and co-authored; and Dr. Michael Shermer, the world-famous skeptic and author of “Why Darwin Matters” and “The Believing Brain.” They will speak in English with translation into Spanish, and translation into English for the eminent Spanish-speaking science professors from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and other Mexican universities will also be available.For further information on the Colloquium, go to www.ateosmexicanos.org.
