Mexican astronomers, both professional and amateur, have set a Guinness record after pointing 2,978 telescopes at the moon at the same time.
The telescopes were pointed at the moon from various locations around the country last Saturday. The feat broke the previous record, set in Mexico in 2011, by more than 200 telescopes.
