Walmart Mexico begins online sales

You can now buy a range of merchandize from Walmart’s new online site and have it delivered to your home in Mexico – without charge for many items.

The easy-to-use web site is divided into several main categories, including electronics, computers, babies, video games, health and beauty and home.  Sub-menus provide dozens of additional categories.

Payment can be made by cash or card.  Telephone orders can also be taken.  Walmart says the average delivery time is 48 hours. Deliveries are made through an agreement with Fed Ex and cover 97 percent of the nation’s territory.
There is no minimum order amount and deliveries will be free for the first month.

Walmart’s smaller Superama stores recently began a home grocery delivery service.  There are ten Superamas in the Guadalajara metro area, seven of them in Zapopan.  Go to www. superama.com.mx to sign up.
