Constance Kraus Holland

Constance Kraus Holland, 90, of Ajijic, died June 29 at a nursing home in Chapala of complications from bladder cancer.

Kraus was born in Christopher, Illinois and lived most of her life in California.  She moved to Mexico in 1988 with her husband, Thomas Holland, a well known sculptor and polo player.

Connie and Tom pursued their love for painting and sculpture in Ajijiic, while Connie was active in Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church.

After her husband’s death in 2004, Kraus’ own health began to decline and she underwent several surgeries for her cancer.

She is survived by her two sons, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family is not planning to hold a memorial service in Mexico but a future one in Los Angeles.

The family has suggested donations be made to Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church in Riberas del Pilar.
