Driving permit office opening put on hold

Plans for establishing a Chapala office for issuing Jalisco driving permits have been delayed indefinitely.

Israel Moreno Vera, administrative director of Jalisco’s Ministry of Transport, who recently carried out a technical survey of the chosen site, explained that the holdup is due to financial complications.

The licensing module will eventually occupy space in the rear part of the city’s Sanitation Department headquarters located just off Paseo Ramón Corona, adjacent to the public parking lot opposite the entrance to Chapala’s Club de Yates. The opening date, originally projected for this month, will be pushed forward at least another eight weeks, Moreno indicated.
