July 11, low-cost carrier Volaris launched a new non-stop flight from Guadalajara to Loreto in Baja California.
Flights are scheduled on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The flights leave GDL at 9:30 a.m. and return from Loreto at 11 a.m. Flight time is around two hours.
A Magic Town (Pueblo Magico) since 2012, Loreto is surrounded by stunning landscapes, including the Sea of Cortez, beautiful beaches and the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range. Its colonial buildings include the historic Misión de Nuestra Señora de Loreto, a 17th-century church. Off the coast, islands and waters are home to dolphins, whales and pelicans. The town has a relaxed and authentic atmosphere with local crafts, traditional Mexican cuisine and charming streets.
