San Andreas

In this high-octane thriller, the infamous San Andreas Fault gives way (I’m sure we saw this four or five years ago in “2012” — California keeps coming back!), producing adevastating earthquake across California. A highly skilled helicopter pilot races to save his ex-wife  in Los Angeles before the complete destruction of the city. After one daring rescue, the pilot flies north toward San Francisco in search of his estranged daughter, racing against time and the inevitable aftershocks that promise to devastate the coastline. This sequiel to the smash-hit comic-book epic finds the iconic superhero team dealing with a threat of their own making: a sentient robot called Ultron, who was originally designed as part of a peacekeeping program. But Deckard Shaw, a rogue special forces assassin seeking to avenge his comatose younger brother, puts them in danger once again. Director: James Wan. Cast: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson,

Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham. This was the final film appearance of Walker, who died in an accident while filming.

His brothers Caleb and Cody were used as stand-ins to complete his remaining scenes. Rated: PG-13. Time: 1:37.
