Sunday, July 28, Ajijic’s accomplished long-distance runner José “Jou” González Valenzuela broke the standing Papalote Trail Axixic time record in the men’s division, clocking in at 2 hours 46 minutes 58 seconds.


Red-letter day for Chapala Red Cross

Cruz Roja Chapala (CRC) reports outstanding results of the United in Our Hearts benefit held on July 24 at the La Reserva residential compound clubhouse. The event was organized to help fund the completion of the new CRC clinic construction project.

Three candidates register for election as LCS president

Members of the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) are called to attend an Extraordinary Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 20, 10 a.m., to participate in the election of a new president of the board of directors and vote on proposed amendments to the organization’s Constitution bylaws.   

Pueblo Mágico Committee renewed

After months in limbo, Ajijic’s Pueblo Mágico Citizens Committee was revived on June 26 with the installation of a new board reduced to only five regular members and their respective alternates.
