For the final play of its 60th season, “Grand Horizons,” Lakeside Little Theatre has introduced new ticket discounts aimed at making its productions more accessible to a wider audience.
Pequeños Creadores, a youth theater ensemble from Santa Paula, Tonalá, will perform at Lakeside Little Theatre on Saturday, May 17, to raise funds for its trip to the 16th World Festival of Children’s Theater in Germany.
“The Drawer Boy,” by Michael Healey, is a masterclass in storytelling—an intricate blend of memory, myth and misunderstanding. This poignant and compelling play follows two aging bachelor farmers, Angus and Morgan, whose quiet lives are disrupted by a young actor researching rural life.
Saturday, April 19, The BRAVO! will offer a staged reading of “Mr. Thursby’s Adventure,” the first script in its Play Development Program.
Cynthia Du Bois, one of the founders of the Plein Air Painters of Jalisco, will be showcasing her recent works at an exhibit opening on Friday, May 2, at Casa del Sol Inn. A Meet the Artist reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.
