Gala fundraiser
Mariachi Juvenil Axixic, a youth ensemble made up of the most talented students from the Pedro Rey Mariachi School in Ajijic, is seeking $US12,000 to purchase a used Hyundai Starex truck.
Ajijic Quilt Guild
The quilting and fabric artists of the Ajijic Quilt Guild will host a one-day exhibition of their works on Monday, March 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the grounds of Casa Lule Restaurant, Ocampo 180, between Rio Bravo and Seis Esquinas.
Dance
The Ballet Folklorico Nuevo Jalisco and Colectiva Pardo-Heli & Oniric present “Kopalli” on Sunday, March 1, with shows at 1 and 5 p.m. at the Centro Para la Cultura y las Artes de la Ribera.

The Northern Lights Music Festival continues with tickets still available for four concerts at the Auditorio de la Ribera (CCAR).

• The Lake Chapala Society holds Art in the Garden Show, Saturday, February 14, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with over 50 vendors offering a multitude of art, food, beauty aids, crafts and much more.
Art Walkers Carnival
Eighty-two artists will be displaying their works at 42 locations during the third annual Art Walkers Carnival, running Friday to Sunday, February 6 to 8, in Ajijic, San Antonio and San Juan Cosala.
