Three Kings day delight

Jalisco’s Family Development Agency (DIF) managed to collect some 9,000 toys, which volunteers distributed to various neighborhoods of Guadalajara on January 6, Dia de los Reyes (Three Kings Day).

MEGACHURCH LEADER PLEADS NOT GUILTY – Naasón Joaquín García, the leader of the Guadalajara-based evangelical Luz del Mundo Church, this week pleaded not guilty to 36 charges, including sexual abuse of a child, in the Superior Court of Los Angeles. The trial will begin November 12.

International flights returning to GDL

International flights arriving and departing the Guadalajara Airport in August totalled  more than in any other month of the coronavirus pandemic (912), although passenger  flow dropped to 76,859 from 82,660 registered in July.

American Society soldiers on during lockdown

Planning, commitment, cooperation and even serendipity have allowed Guadalajara’s decades-old social club for foreigners to do better than survive, even though the large house owned by the American Society of Jalisco (AMSOC) has virtually closed to members for about three months.
