Still coming up
The Night under the Stars Auction takes place Saturday, February 23, 6 to 9:30 p.m. It includes not only the silent auction but a delicious Mexican dinner, as well as live music, folkloric dancers, local talent and children’s performance. Don’t miss out on the fun.
Annual Swim
January ended on an extraordinary high note for some of La Manzanilla’s residents. On Sunday, January 27 aquatic enthusiasts participated in the Nadando por Ellos swimathon to raise funds to improve the quality of life and dignity for five of the pueblo’s poverty stricken elders.
Efren’s Exhibit

Art abounds
Art lovers were treated to an abundance of innovative creations Friday, with both galleries in town arranging back- to-back presentations.
Revolution Day
Each year on November 20, the citizens of Mexico celebrate the day that was the beginning of a decade-long battle against a corrupt government, which had held power for 30 years and the controlling, upper-class land owners.
Willa
Once again, La Manzanilla has survived another sample of Mother Nature’s wrath.
