Quentin gets a fright in Morelia

What the Morelia Film Festival lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in celebrity. Far more intimate than its Guadalajara counterpart held each March, the movie shebang in the capital of Michoacan nonetheless seems able to attract high-profile industry names.

On Thursday, Quentin Tarantino braved the red carpet at the local Cineopolis, expressing concern at the pack of reporters and photographers who tried to accost him as he made his way to his seat. Acclaimed director Alfonso Cuaron also breezed into the festival to present his latest film “Gravity,” starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, while U.S. director Robert Rodriguez will be on hand to show his most recent film, “Machete Kills” with Antonio Banderas and Cuba Gooding Jr.
