Stephanie Sigman will be the first actress from Mexico to become a “Bond girl” in the new James Bond feature film, “Spectre.” According to the official 007 website, Sigman will take on the role of “Estrella,” with Daniel Craig reprising his role as the suave British spy. Sigman won plaudits for her performance in the 2011 hit “Miss Bala,” in which she played a beauty queen who gets mixed up with a drug cartel. Mexican tax authorities have provided stimuli for part of “Spectre” to be filmed in Mexico City. Industry sources say the screenplay sees Bond come to Mexico to stop a hitman hired to kill the head of the Mexico City government.
