LLT
Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) will stage the dark comedy “Man of La Mancha,” February 21 through March 4.
The musical is directed by Dave McIntosh and Ann Swiston and features a cast that includes five new-to-LLT singers, several repeat performers, and a seven-piece live band, led by Music Director Cindy Youell.
This show will entertain through its many well-known songs, most famously “The Impossible Dream,” and through the tragic yet hopeful story that originated with Miguel de Cervantes’ 16th century novel “I, Don Quixote.”
The challenge for both actors and audiences is that “Man of La Mancha” is a play within a play.
La Mancha’s themes are complex, and as relevant today as ever.
