The Ballet Folklorico Nuevo Jalisco and Colectiva Pardo-Heli & Oniric present “Kopalli” on Sunday, March 1, with shows at 1 and 5 p.m. at the Centro Para la Cultura y las Artes de la Ribera.
This fictional story is based on Quetzalcótl and Kukulcán, the plumed serpent, and reminds us of the importance of living in harmony with Mother Earth and the living creatures on it. Tickets, 500 pesos, are available at boletia.com and the box office.

• The Northern Lights Music Festival Orchestra performs Bach: The Brandenburg Concertos, 4 p.m. Tickets for these performances are available at La Nueva Posada from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and online at northern-lightsmexico.com. A final Jazz Under the Stars dinner/concert at La Nueva Posada concludes the festival at 6 p.m. Tickets for that show are available at La Nueva Posada at any time of day.

• Gloria Fiona offers a tribute concert to Adele at Concerts in the Park at the Lake Chapala Society, Sunday, March 1, 5 p.m. This is the Italian star’s first performance at Lakeside. • A jazz concert tribute to French and Brazilian songs is held Thursday, March 5, 6 p.m. at Cola de Gallo, Hidalgo 17 in Ajijic. The evening features musicians Carlos Cáceres, Gilbero Rios, Eleazar Soto and Isael Angulo, and singer Clara Faure. Tickets, 250 pesos, available at Cola de Gallo.
• Stan and Linda Foster will present a Tribute to Neil Diamond, Saturday, March 7, 4 p.m. at Mama’s Musical Bar showroom, Gonzalez Gallo 86 in San Antonio, as a fundraiser for Lucky Dog Rescue and Adoption Center. Tickets, 500 pesos, are available at Kinda Bazaar… in Riberas del Pilar.
• The 19th Artistic Marathon at San Juana Cosala’s main plaza takes place Sunday, March 8, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., featuring 14 bands, including Costa Sound, Generacion Emergente, Los Romanticos del Lago and Sabor Kumbia, among others.
Eurojazz International Jazz Festival

A collaboration of Rezzonante with the Italian Cultural Institute in CDMX will host six Ajijic jazz concerts as part of the Eurojazz International Jazz Festival in Mexico City.
The invited Italian musicians are guitarist Francesco Diodati (above), double bassist Matteo Bortone, drummer Gustavo Nandayapa, percussionist Miguel Cruz and saxophonist Giovanni Cigui.
The first concert is on Thursday, March 12 at the Garden of Dreams Hotel. Part of the ticket price will benefit the children’s programs of Poco a Poco at San Pedro Itzican’s Community Center. Tickets for the first concert (350 pesos presale, 500 pesos on the day of the event) can be purchased daily at the Garden of Dreams from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Photographer Xill Fessenden teams up with sculptor Moises Perez for a unique exhibition of their art, opening Friday, March 6, 4 to 6 p.m. at Casa del Sol Inn, Juarez 7 in Ajijic. One of Fessenden's images is shown above.
• Saturday, February 28, 4 to 6 p.m., an opening reception for a Lake Chapala Fine Artists Guild group exhibition at the Ajijic Cultural Center (in the Ajijic Plaza) will feature live music and refreshments. • The collective exhibition Corazon de Arte is on display at the Centro Cultural Antigua Presidencia in Chapala.

• The Centro Cultural Ajijic hosts a dual exhibition featuring a collective show of works by expat and local artists, including alumni of the Neill James Children’s Art Program (established 1954), and “Sincretismo Mágico,” a solo exhibition by artist Jesús V. López Vega.
• A retrospective show of the 50 years of work of artist Pat Apt is up at the Ajijic Museo de Arte, Privada Flores Magon 3, in West Ajijic.
