Rain Dance moves feet, minds and hearts

Libby Townsend’s second annual Tarahumara Rain Dance drew a crowd of 40 lakesiders intent upon conjuring up the good graces of Mother Nature and lending support to the Complejo Asistencial Clinica Santa Teresita located in Creel, Chihuahua.


Lakeside’s Roosevelt School closes its doors

In a bombshell announcement coming at the tail end of the academic year, administrators of the lakeside’s Roosevelt School informed staff, students and parents that the institution was shutting the doors, ceasing operations for the 2013-2014 term.

Dancing for rain

Libby Townsend will hold the second annual Tarahumara Rain Dance at her Ajijic (Seis Esquinas) home on Sunday, July 28 to raise funds for the Tarahumara (Raramiri), who live in the Copper Canyon in northern Mexico.

BBQ to fund Ajijic improvements

Ajijic town administrator Hector España will host a barbeque dinner and dance party at the village plaza on Saturday, August 10, 5 to 9 p.m., to build up a kitty to fund various improvement projects.
