LCS summer picnic
Join in with fellow expats and friends at the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) Summer Picnic for some good old-fashioned fun complete with food, drinks and games for everyone.
Tennis tourney
The Chapala Cruz Roja (Red Cross) is putting on its first Tennis and Pickle Ball fundraising tournament Saturday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Raquet Club in San Juan Cosala.
LCS fashion show
Designs by Alma Gutierrez will be on display at a fashion show to be held at the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) on Saturday, May 28, 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be catered by Roberto´s Restaurant with a cash bar.
Bingo!
Have Hammer will Travel is starting “Bingolago,” a bingo game to be held every Tuesday, beginning May 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at restaurant Maria Isabel on the lakeshore. Grand prizes include a week in a condo with Super Blackout Bingo.
Panorama food fest
Maru Toledo, Jalisco’s leading authority on regional culinary traditions, will be among the top chefs featured at Festival Gourmet Panorama, running Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, at the Chapinaya events center, located off the Chapala-Jocotepec highway, a few kilometers west of Ajijic.
British Society
Sue Morris will speak on: “The NHS Lottery: Do they practice euthanasia?” at the next luncheon of the Lakeside British Society, Saturday, May 7, 1 p.m. at Manix Restaurant in Ajijic.
Open Circle
“Saving the Brain,” is the topic of the next Open Circle meeting, Sunday, April 24, 10:30 a.m. in the garden at the Lake Chapala Society.
