New dates have been set for the 2023 Traditional Mariachi Festival (Encuentro Nacional de Mariachi Tradicional) that in the past has always preceded the main festival (see story left).
This original style of music is closer to son music, the form that gave birth to mariachi in the 19th century. The 22nd iteration of this event will take place this year from September 29 to October 8.
