Unique law student theater group tackles classic British crime mystery

How many famous professional actors, directors, stage managers, set designers and others have caught the theater bug while participating in school or university productions? Far too many to count!

The Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG)—Mexico’s second-largest public higher education institution—is not just about academic excellence. It is also one of the most significant contributors to Jalisco’s cultural scene, with its influence extending far and wide.

Not only does UdeG operate several of Guadalajara’s major performing arts venues, including the impressive Conjunto Santander complex and the Auditorio Telmex, but it also funds Mexico’s most famous folk dance troupe and a talented chamber orchestra. Additionally, it organizes two of Latin America’s largest cultural festivals: the International Book Fair (FIL) and the International Film Festival (FICG). The university also hosts several theater troupes, most of which are student-run.
