Dear Sir,
I went out this morning for my daily “dog walk” in Ajijic. As I turned onto the carreterra heading toward the park, I ran into a group of 10-15 young adults in orange CONALEP T-shirts with trash bags picking up trash.
This was one of several of these groups. On the way back I ran into a group of men and women with big straw brooms and bags and shovels sweeping out the edge of the road and gutter. They were young, old, middle aged and at least one child was tagging along. Both groups were smiling , and I almost could have eaten off the sidewalk after they finished! We owe a great big thank you to these people and the Ayuntamiento for their efforts to keep our villages clean and beautiful.
