Dear Sir,
I want to commend you for noting in your report on last week’s “anti-crime forum” that it included “no mention of extenuating circumstances such as the depressed U.S. economy, troubles in the real estate market there and alarming north-of-the-border media reports on Mexico’s war on the drug cartels.”
You could also have noted that the drug cartels’ war is fueled by the purchase of drugs and the sale of guns by people in the U.S., who thereby bear much of the responsibility for the war.
