Dear Sir,
We are grateful for Jeanne Chaussee’s article in the Reporter about the new Dog Shelter. However, many of the plans for our new shelter are still in the development phase. Not all the t’s are crossed and the i’s dotted.
We are a dedicated group of former volunteers who want to continue with the goal of adoptions of healthy, socialized, spayed and neutered dogs as we were able to do so well at the Animal Shelter Dog Center.
We are planning to have a space where we will be far enough away from complaining neighbors yet easy for dog lovers to come visit us. It looks as if we will have generous supporters to help with the food and vet costs. We we are working to put together a financial plan to make this happen. When all of the above looks solid we will be happy to tell you of our progress. In fact, that’s when we’ll turn to you for support.
We plan to uphold the high standards of care that the dogs received at the Animal Shelter. We were there doing our part, with great affection for all the dogs in our care.
We look forward to keeping you up-to-date.
