Letter To The Editor - April 24, 2021

Dear Sir,

I would like to document my recent experiences regarding some music/noise that was loud enough to make my husband’s and my bodies tremble in the middle of the night.

The commotion began at around 10 p.m. on March 19 and 20 and continued until around 6 a.m. on both mornings.  It was caused by a group of young people on the roof of the Villa Ferrara located at Avenida Hidalgo 240 in Chapala. Their music was so loud that we could not sleep, even with all our windows and doors closed. I called the municipal police two times, on Friday at 4:41 a.m. and then again at 7 a.m. The woman I talked to the second time told me that the people in the Villa Ferrara didn’t pay any attention when the police went to the house, and that I needed to submit a report to the municipal director of Regulations.

It just isn’t right that some people who don’t consider other community residents can impose their noise on everyone else in the middle of the night.
