Dear Sir,
Mama Cleo’s Boys Home currently operates entirely off-grid. The home relies on an aging solar power system, and there is often insufficient available power, especially on cloudy days. The current batteries used for power storage are also old, and some are leaking. Therefore, many activities of daily living are often interrupted.
To upgrade this system to ensure reliable electricity both day and night, basically, a whole new system is required. The current project cost is estimated at approximately 250,000 pesos, including tax. This includes installing electrification in the new laundry system. (Can you imagine washing clothes for 20 boys?)
Lakeside Presbyterian Church has taken on a leadership role in raising funds for this project. The month of January will be dedicated to ensuring that this important community resource has the power it needs to care for these boys.
You are invited to participate in this community challenge. By working together as the people of the Lake Chapala area, we can help others in need. January is a dark and cold month. Please help us bring reliable light and power to Mama Cleo’s Boys Home.
To contribute, please visit mamacleosboys.org or call +52 3311 188290. We at Lakeside Presbyterian Church are proud to help Mama Cleo help these boys.
