Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez

Undefeated in professional boxing, the 21-year-old Guadalajara boxer is the current WBC Light Middleweight Champion. Mosley, from California, has won several world titles and represents Canelo’s most illustrious opponent yet.

But Mosely is undoubtedly in the twilight of his career. He is 19 years Canelo’s senior, has performed badly in his last three fights and not won in over three years.

The bout takes place in Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. The Cinco de Mayo is a traditional date for boxing and after Canelo’s fight the main event will see U.S. boxer Floyd Mayweather put his WBA Super Welterweight belt on the line against Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto.
