New York's race may have been cancelled but Guadalajara’s 28th annual International Marathon takes place on Sunday, November 4, with the first event starting at 7.15 a.m. The race begins and ends dowtown at the Rotunda of Illustrious Jalisco Citizens on Avenida Alcalde and there are separate categories for men, women and competitors in wheelchairs.
The 26-mile route roughly follows Avenidas Washington, Mariano Otero, Patria, Fidel Velazquez and Belisario Dominguez. Up to 3,000 participants will take part, with Kenyan athletes often claiming first place in years gone by.
