Guadalajara did not make the final short list to host the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Wednesday.

IOC President Jacques Rogge revealed that Guadalajara and the Dutch city of Rotterdam missed out, while the Scottish city of Glasgow, the Colombian city of Medellin and the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires remain in contention
