Mexican soccer fans have a top quality league of their own to enjoy and rarely take much interest in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States – often considered a “retirement home” and “final pay day” for once great, but now over-the-hill players.

This week’s signing of Guadalajara-born Javier “Chicharito” (Little Pea) Hernandez by the Los Angeles Galaxy might change all that.
